You need to decide if you will be overclocking or not. That makes all the difference. Personally, i think that price is still too high. Either add a little more and go with a high end ram, or get something cheaper and run it at 400MHz like korm was talking about. In any case, wait until teh reviews ...

unfortunately they don't make 3500c2 anymore, sicne bh-5 was discontinued...that adata ram i was talking about was 105 per 512MB stick...but newegg saw it selling, and i think they raised the price a bit, it'll drop back down though. EBay has 3500c2 on sometimes, or you can buy it from a forum...it ...

The only thing that irks me is the minimum 480W power supply they say it needs. I'm not too up to date on power supplies these days, but that sounds really high. It's apparently been tested with 350W supplies without any issues. The thing to look out for is a hefty 12V rail but really, noone should...

umm, my guess is around the time actual XTs came out. Maybe a few weeks later, i don't have any concrete info on this.

But Sapphire and Asus 9800 Pro 256MB DDR1 are pretty much all based on XT pcb, core and ram.

no other way, you have to physically remove the heatsink, be careful though. the benefit of flashing to an xt would be temp monitoring and a slight speed bump clock per clock. You can edit the xt bios to be clocked at the sme speeds as your current pro, but u'll get temp monitoring and maybe a speed...
