I also have a large password but thought I had a key logger on my computer that would mean the greatest password on the world would be useless.
Pretty sure the malwarebytes hit was a false positive. But how a file called "stolen data" ever got into my App Data folder,,,,,,,,,,,,

Any downside to using random passwords with a password manger like 1password or LastPass? My only concern would be never knowing what a particular password would be for a site in case I couldn't get to the password manager. But, most likely if I couldn't get to the password manager I couldn't get on...

Thanks for the posts. I'm normally very careful but that one file MalewareBytes found freaked me out. "Stolen Data" is not the name of a file you want to find on your computer.

I did get a screen when I went into the BIOS. But when I tried to use the disk it wouldn't run. So I think the OS was acting up and then the disks with were made are no good. Don't know other than the computer wasn't running correctly so she started to re-install and that's when the re-install quit and it no longer would bootup.

My reg isn't corrupted but probably has a lot of leftovers after deleting programs although I use Revo Uninstaller that does a god job of getting the stragglers.

I use Ccleaner but not the Registry area. Normally don't like to mess with the registry although I can back it up and also do a "Restore point" to be safe. What say you?
