IPad and iPhone - If I go to a place that has free Wi-Fi, is there a way to protect myself from spying eyes?

Was think'n......I had moved some startup programs into "Delay" in WinPatrol the other day so I moved everything back to regular startup and the DLL message did not pop up.

I'll see if that did it and then move them back one at a time to see who's doing what.

I was thinking about encrypting my HD but I have an auto backup program running that backs up new data every two hours.

Could I do that with an encrypted drive?

A friend has asked me to recommended a new laptop for him. He doesn't do gaming or video editing.......

I was thinking of at least a core i5, 8 GB of Ram and at least 1 TB of HD.

Screen size will depend on if it's going to be his main computer.

OS most likely Win 8.

What say you?

RichCopy sounds interesting. I use Second Copy 2000 that I bought years ago and it works like a charm but since I try to honor "you buy it so it's yours but not a dozen of your friends" I'm always looking for reliable FREE progies.

A friend has a new game that he wants to play.

He needs a bigger power supply for the card.

Advised him against changing everything and buying a gaming rig.

My question is "would it even be possible?

He has a Gateway DX 4320-01-E w/ a 300 Watt PS. They say he needs a 550 watt.

Got it!

Had to go in and add my "HomeGroup" Password. Found it under Control panel>Network & Internet>Homgroup and click on "View or print the Homegroup password".
