Abend 2 was never one of my favorite levels, but I played it on occasion nevertheless. It's fun to fly a GL in the main room and practice avoiding all of the seconaries that pilots chuck from the tunnels, while dogfighting the brave ones who stay in the middle. Which is what III did all along in the...

I have more fond memories of D2 than D1. It was darker, had better graphics, and nothing was cooler than the gauss cannon. I wouldn't know about weapons balance, because I only played it online a few times.

I've almost always held well against monkey, Online is one thing. On LAN is another. I beat Monkey twice in a row in summer of '04 online, but that doesn't really mean anything - he'd destroy me on LAN, even on my best day. Monk should definitely be higher. Anyone else find this thread that was sta...

How is that relevant to who i played? I don't see how you believe you can rate skill based on playing a pilot back when you weren't very experienced. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe you actually learned how to play well until somewhere after mid-2003. So that would skew your perception of pilot's skills from before that time.

I've broken my A string on my bass in the middle of a gig (I eat my Wheaties too), and kept playing for the rest of it, though fortunately as I play 6-string bass, I had more sonic options left than others might have.

I wouldn't recommend the Ashdown P10. The reason he wants it is probably the "coolness" of having a stack, albeit a miniature one. That "coolness" will wear off quickly, and he'll realize that it isn't loud enough, and he'll be back begging you for a bigger amp. Wattage is very i...
