Bringing up the automap doesn't get rid of the white square in 640 * 480 mode. That's when you have to leave and rejoin the game. There is a fix for the disappearing reticle bug available on Planet Descent. It works by extracting all of the reticle images to your Descent 3 folder. The fix on Planet ...

XP Reloaded
I am a bit out of touch with tech news; I haven't had a chance to browse the Web in a while. Is Microsoft still planning to release "XP Reloaded" before Longhorn? I've heard people say that Longhorn was coming out in 2005 (instead of 2006). A friend of mine was telling me about Longhorn, a...

are we beta testing yet? if not, I'll check back later No, we're not beta testing, yet. In fact, I haven't even received a second e-mail. The Phoenix Cannon 0wnz, unlike EMD. Bouncy balls of chaos. ^_^ Matches my personality. ^_^ The EMD Cannon is weak and the homing ability sucks and it uses a lot...

AMD sux0rZ! Get a Pentium 4 Extreme Edition and a GeForce 6800 Ultra Extreme, even though both will cost you about as much as one computer. ^_~ Psych. Get a Pentium 4 3.2 GHz with the Northwood core and a GeForce 6800 Ultra...and listen to their advice about the RAM. ^_~ Or maybe you should buy dual...

Suncho , you're dumb as ice! :) GraphSim decided to make the game the way they did, but they made it with that bug unintentionally. That's what he's saying. Only if they give me my spreadfire. the D1 r0x0r kind, not the D2 Neutered kind. Can somebody fill me in about D1 Spreadfire? How did it rock in D1? What happened to it in D2â??was it weaker/slower? I think voting for levels would be cool. I think it would be a good idea to get away from that 'miss...

El Ka Bong , Stryker said that his parents would ban him from D3. He didn't say he would cringe every time he saw that low-res poster in SD. :) We don't have 'upbringing' that compels us to be holy, we have love...and grace. :) How can you be free if you have no self-control? It still sucks. haha! Paedric , ThunderBunny didn't shoot Atan. He shot Subway Dancer. And it's your fault for getting in the way of the bullet. =P I actually like the Acid Missiles (modded Cyclones). Making them slower would be a good idea, because it would get rid of most of the penith flyers. =P...

Storylines are great... as long as they do not get in the way, D3's storyline gets in the way. I concur. =P Neo, A good story will draw someone to single player, but if the actual gameplay sucks they will only ever play it once. Gameplay will give a title REPLAY VALUE, and you do not need a story f...

If I want a story, I'll read a book. Did pacman have a story? Did breakout have a story? Did Asteroids have a story? Did Dig-Dug have a story? Were the objectives not the same in each level? Were these games not as addicting as hell? I didn't like Pac-Man too much. :) Even D1 and D2 had a story. De...

Paedric , I never said that a huge influx of players would come when people stop playing Subway Dancer. I'm saying that having only Subway Dancer games being played and other n00by levels just makes it worse (and gay). Thirty-five players in the mines, huh? Well, that's no more than there were on P...

...Having all kinds of crazy objectives that have nothing to do with each other just seems boring. It's difficult to measure your progress when you don't know what the game is. I like the self-destruct thing. You're right. It's not a bad level. It's just two years old! I played this level for about four months after it came out. I loved it at first, but I got tired of it since I played it so much. Yeah, not to mention that having non-floating weapons slows down the gameplay. Why is it that when people try to come up with new ideas for a D4-like game, they always think of stuff that would be good in a sim? =P I like the self-destruct thing. Maybe there could be a key combination to do it so it...

I can tell Kyouryuu is no pilot because he wants mouselook in the game. =P Mouselook sucks! Even for mousers mouselook sucks. Mouselook is cheap because Mouselookers can turn faster than other players. Also, the ships don't fly properly with mouselook. I'd much rather have normal Descent mouse contr...
