Your PSU seems rather small for such a beast. I'd try disconnecting the TV tuner and all your hard drives 'cept the main one and see if that helps any. You did plug in the power connector on the card, right? (hey, gotta make sure :P)

THREAD REVIVAL! You don't lose vertical FOV when you make the screen wider using the -aspect option. I recently tried D3 on two screens for the hell of it and sustained no loss of visibility. It's just a shame it's so hard to play with that kind of setup. Widescreen D3 is definitely doable.

939 AMD chips couldn't handle more than two sticks without dropping to 333 up until revision E, aka the Venice core. Haven't heard of any timing issues, but that's not saying much.

Run Descent 3.exe in your D3 folder, click the Setup button, click the Controls tab, and that should do it. If it doesn't, that puts you on the page you need to be at to troubleshoot it (using the two buttons, not the checkboxes).

Motion blur is only done on robots, and looks like crap. Also, it cannot be forced on, only off (via -nomotionblur).
