There's no need to do something like that, 'cause there already exists High Octane (i think that it has some programmers from the old D3 already hired, but not sure about this) and they are making Core Decision. :)

And BTW, CDN_Merlin is right, it's way TOOOOOOOO expensive to make a game like d3.

Hi Diedel, i know that you added a 'fix' in one of your d2x-xl versions too make the hits of the lasers (and some other weapons) more visible, but with the normal lightning (no Lightmaps nor Opengl Real-time) and weapon colored light, i think it's extremely bright! :shock: , it lights almost all ...

I know i can replace primary textures with Hi-Res TGA files, but what about secondary ones? it's possible? it's already implemented but it don't know how to use it or could it be a suggestion ...

My burner is a LG GCA-1464B combo DVD-+RW/CD-RW writer.

I've tryied many conventional things (getting the UDMA to work correctly, uninstalled version 7 of Nero,refreshing some drivers, etc...).

So i'm starting to think it's really a hardware problem. Maybe i will need to replace it. :(

I think it's not just a feeling. I've tested even with 'frametime' cheat, and framerate is a bit (only a bit) slower since version 1.6.85. It's not too much, but there is even some lag when entering some rooms in various levels. I have a Pentium 4 2.93 GHz system with 256MB RAM and a GeForce 4 MX ...

Little bug:

Version 1.6.86 is a bit slower than 1.6.84.
Movement is less smooth at least on my computer.

Maybe it has something to do with the new SDL.

I already had a new ship over the Pyro-Gl and works ver well! :) , but i want an option to substitute the Magnum and Phoenix as well, and have different choices for each level :wink: .

But i hope it will work if i use the method Kyoryuu says, about gain each ship as the mission goes on.

Bug in 1.6.22:

Paolo.n is right, the lava fall sound is corrupted. Also, when that sound is present, it damages other sounds as well like the laser impacts and shoots (they sound interrupted when in a lava room)

No, you can't change the edge of the prison doors.

The prison doors are used as primary textures, not secondaries. They aren't overlaying over other textures, they are as is in the PIG file of D1 and can't be changed.

Different ships on every level or selection before one

I have this question for D3.

How can i make that a level on a mission uses only a specific ship of the three available, or make all ships available before entering a level?

I'm making custom ships and want to know if i can use different ones on every level or select one of them before a level.

Object triggers are \"excusively\" for D2X-XL levels.
You can't use these trigger in D1 nor in D2 normal levels.

Yes, the DOS install program of D1 is as safe as the one of D2.
In fact, every normal install of any old DOS game is safe on Win XP.
