the third option is a very good option... clean install whenever possible is always good. :) even if it is more time consuming, it helps out to have a fresh start now and then. ;) good luck!

Sounds like the motor in your PSU fan may be going south. You can login to newegg and try to get an RMA issued. They should still allow you to RMA it if you bought it within a year. Heh, even MD skimms every once in a while. :P quick MD ... what's 2004 minus 2006 hint: it's the exactly 1.999 ...

yeah didn't you read or see fightclub? they spray a canister of Freyon into a lock and then tap it with a hammer to shatter it. you can use a similar technique to remove those security ink-packs from stolen clothing without any ink spilling anywhere (since it's frozen solid) ;) yeah ... it's sad ...
