Which video cards do you have?

May be it depends on the computer system, as framerate seems not to affect anything at all here.

Homing missiles

I have a question for you, regarding homing missiles. I have played Descent 1 to exhaustion. In Descent 1, I used to avoid homing missiles, by flying in circles. I really enjoy when I avoid a homing missile. In D2x-xl, I can't avoid homing missiles, they hit me after doing two or three circles. Well...

Good so far

I have to say, that version 1.6.6 is the closest I have seen Descent to perfection (just because I still have to set *.plr files read-only or it forgets some settings).

Very good job, I´m happy.

Forget about the bug

D2x stills forgets the inverted setting in all axis every two reloads. But I found an easy workaround. Change the settings, then make the file default.plr read-only, and it never forgets any settings again! Another bug: Show explosions when damaged, only works if use smoke is also enabled....

Joystick bug

I last tested with version .170

It still forgets the \"inverted axis\" for the joystick every two restores/loads.

I will try .176 today.

Current outstanding bugs: It forgets the \"inverted\" setting in both slide axis when loading a saved game or starting another one. It also forgets the mouse settings. I have to clarify, this doesn't happen the first time you load or start a game. - You change the settings, it plays fine -...

Bugs in: .165 :

Bugs in: .165 :

The flash missile icon appears always selected, even if other missile is \"really\" selected.

It forgets the \"inverted\" setting in both slide axis when loading a saved game or starting another one.

(I hope this time I'm clear  )

And I though I was clear...

\"from upside\" means with the bank axis inverted, and \"from below\" means with normal bank axis.

Without thinking that way, I get confused and can't play.

Using both mouse and joystick

Hello, I would like to have the option to play using both the mouse and the joystick like in Descent 3.

What do you think about it?
