Re: SSD and swap

I have about 8 gig, but I'm trying to account for the FSX's uniqueness too. I'm pretty sure a swap is required though I'm not sure. Surely they have optimized P3D of that burden but I'm catering to the lowest common denominator too.

Re: SSD and swap

Ok, that makes sense. More overhead with temp files than swap I imagine, so I guess best is just to install and keep it simple with memory as it is today.

SSD and swap

I'm am fixing to buy a 256 ssd and slave it for FSX/Prepar3d and assorted programs. The OS will be mostly bare on a 128 gig ssd. Swap on OS or same drive as P3D?

Re: Dallas ebola patient has died...

Yeah, that's all I was saying. The RNA types mutate rapidly and are more likely than DNA type's because they lack the "error checking" (loose language) that a DNA type has. EDIT: "mutation rate of 2.0 x 10-3 substitutions per site" Some studies are showing as high a mutation rate...

Re: Dallas ebola patient has died...

Considering these type of viruses are the most likely to mutate, a little prudence and mitigation doesn't hurt. It's actually the best chance we will ever have to observe evolution in a natural setting. The problem is, you cannot predict or prepare for a mutation. Aside from that, I agree the risk o...

Re: yeah, I'd say 'excessive' sums it up.....

That's exactly why I am against ex-military personnel becoming civilian police. Their training makes them unfit for it. They are too hardcore and overtly obedient at the same time. In my opinion that makes a very poor Constitutional officer and has resulted in this militarization of civil authorities.

But Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr., who wrote the opinion for the court's dominant conservatives, said: "It is clear that the Framers . . . counted the right to keep and bear arms among those fundamental rights necessary to our system of ordered liberty."

My thoughts? 15 years and the region is being lost and falling into anarchy. It's more unstable than 15 years ago and now ISIS, unlike al-Qaeda, has real military organization and financial backing and are operating right out in the open. Complete failure and lack of foresight or vision.

Just ask Mussolini how much persuasion the pope has over around 1.2 billion people. They allowed him the favor of the people as long as the Papal State was restored, and it was. In 1938, Pope Pius XI addressed a group of visitors to the Vatican. There were some people, he said, who argued that the s...

I'm divided about this. I've been voicing a lot of support for the police offices in particular the Sheriff's. An elected official with Constitutional authority. They are enforcers of the Law and if one gets passed by a legislator that doesn't fit the 'bill', the Sheriff has authority to un-enforce ...

WTH why not! A moderate is someone who avoids all extremes and relies solely on their own investigation.

EDIT: Someone not afraid to say they don't know and to point out others do not either. A moderate allows for error.
