I play Desert Combat with the DCBB guys but I still play the main BF stuff more with the MS guys. Goto www.midnightsquadron.com. We play in a small league for BF42 and are about to switch over to playing BF:Vietnam in that same league. Check our forums at http://www.midnightsquadron.com/cgi-bin/msbb...

I wonder if anyone has tried the dedrm program yet. It removes the lock but it still keeps your name tied to the file in case you distribute it everywhere. You can get a version of it here: http://www.gizmodo.com/archives/easy-drm-stripping-for-windows-itunes-015516.php It was originally coded by DV...

Here's an interesting read on the subject from a founder
I found this interesing and informative. Interplay had no money and I'm sure it's the reason for the lack of pr when d3 came out. I knew many, many people (gamers included) who had no idea a $50,000 tourney was going on, much less that it was for Descent.

Try skype then. It doesn't need a server and I know at least two people can use it together. I don't know if it works with more than 2 though. There are some public GV servers though if they are still around. And it's pretty easy to set up a GV server. I have not setup a TS one but I imagine it's no...

gamevoice has a free version as well and I think the sound quality is beter than teamspeak. But since TS is free it is much more widely used and the teams I play on use it all the time. My brother and I use GV when we are the only two playing. GV also has no support anymore from microsoft. But you c...

interplay going down?
according to this interplay has some serious issues and may be evicted or close to it. It's past the 12th so something must have happened.

I've got a wireless linksys router that works great. So does my brother, my mom, and my dad and none of them have had any problems. I tried a netgear and a dlink in the past and had all kinds of problems with drops and flaky connections and port issues. I have had a linksys wired or wireless router ...

Please bring back the today's active topics links on the forum page if possible. Or just let me know if it's there and I am just an idiot for not seeing it. Thanks. Working great for me so far.

Try this, it worked for me. If your computer is set to autologin, installing the .NET Framework will change this setting and force you to login manually. To fix this, follow the following steps. 1) Select Run from the start menu. 2) Type 'control userpasswords2' to open the user accounts application...

I got it up and running again a few weeks ago. Capm gave me a good list and it worked. I'll find the email later and post it. And of course I could investigate it myself but I figured someone here had to have done that before. http://www.descentbb.net/ubb/tongue.gif Plus since I don't play it myself...

re: what are the minimum files needed to run a dedicaterd se
I am about to put a temporary server back up for use by MS for practice. I used to run one all the time but I don't play anymore and it's been awhile. I will be loading this remotely so what are the minimum files I need to install or copy to run a dedicated server? And can I do it without the instal...
