I've done crap like that before, where I used one for the WTX connector (since it was going bad) and another (older one) for everything else until I could purchase a new one.

Hey, no one advocated that a Voodoo5 be used either. He set up the dangerous precedent of allowing the video card that anyone used for D3 to be opened up to mocking himself. And, besides, making fun of Mobi or Matrox is fun.

They possibly listed those non-supported OS's with the intention of saying that, although the game will usually run on them, they are not supported, distinguishing them from Win 3.11, DOS, etc., where there's no chance the game would run at all.
