To be honest, I don't really care that much about D2X-XL - I can build far cooler levels for D3. However, do you have any tips for getting the sound effects working? The setup program doesn't work without the CD; I can get the music working with the D2Demo setup, but is there any way to get sound ef...

Interesting Fact + Question
Has anyone else found the Victorious Legion Troop Commander (stormtrooper leader from Retribution level 13) on Mercenary level 4?
Also, could someone give me a list of the D3 Retribution robots that are in Mercenary level 4 but not in any other Mercenary level? I doubt I've found them all.

Error in mission file?
My brother and I have been trying to make levels for D2 using dle-xp. Most of the time, when we try open them in dosbox, it gives us an \"error in mission file\", or it just crashes the game. What are we doing wrong? The only exception seems to be levels made entirely of unwarped cubes.

Re:
Caffeine is a natural chemical. Yes, but it's not meant to be naturally taken into our bodies (which is what Spaceboy said). Caffeine is a drug. Reliance on a drug (a drug not prescribed by a Doctor) is drug abuse. Don't agree? Tough. It's your life and body to destroy. Go right ahead. My thoughts ...

I'll try to move this onto a different tack. Well, considering that I'm only 17, I can only talk about my 'youth' youth. And I know this'll really annoy some of the people here, based on that entire debate back there, but I think Young Me would be the one giving me advice more. Simply because I rem...

And after you link the room to the external room, can you move the player out of it? EDIT: When I try to move a room around on the terrain, I can't tell if it's where I want it because it either appears way above or way below the terrain, depending on how the camera is rotated. A few days ago I trie...

How to get player 0 to start on terrain.
In D3 singleplayer levels, how would I get the player to start on the terrain. I tried moving the player out of the first room onto the terrain, but when I tested the level all I got was a \"hall of mirrors,\" as if I was outside the level.

I already have COD. Very nice level. And yes, I did compose the music. EDIT: It might take a while to get a final version out, because I'm actually working on another level at the same time. I have the second one a little under half done, but I haven't done any scripting yet, and I'm planning to rel...

It looks dark because in the screenshots, you can't see the strobe lighting. There are only two extremely dark rooms, everywhere else it's about on the same level as Reactor Gamma. The screenshots always look darker when they're pasted into paint, anyway. I would still recommend having your headligh...

D3 Singleplayer level - Almost finished
This isn't just any old D3 SP level... It includes robots from the Mercenary expansion. Unfortunately, the AI for the mercenary robots seems to mess up the AI of any D3 Retribution robot that wasn't in mercenary. I'd suggest you make a separate installation of D3 to play it. I also made an \"ea...

How to get D3 Matcens to work?
I'm working on an SP level for D3. I've tried to make matcens, but they don't work. Could someone point me to a tutorial, or just describe how to implement matcens in D3 levels?

I still have that MIDI music I volunteered for the other campaign (the one in the topic I accidentally revived). I have ideas for more music too, and people tell me my music has a style that would be good for background music in a video game. Also, I have an interesting idea for how to implement the...

If you weren't human, what would you be?
More acurrately, what would you most want to be, apart from human? I'd definetely be a genet. (For those who don't know, a genet is a catlike creature in the carnivore family vivveridae). I love the vivverids, especially genets, and I sometimes wonder if I'm not part genet, because my mentality is s...
