Re: D3 Style Stealth Ship

Go wild. I don't even remember that (Eris almighty, it's been a decade, what happened? ) I guess it'd be lucky if you still have the source (.cpp file), I certainly don't. I have no idea anymore how or what it did, but if you can figure out how to work it, here's offical perpetual license fo...

Thanks guys! :)

Real life kind of took me for a hike and I guess I stopped reading the DBB gradually, the same way I stopped playing the game - it's actually not even installed.

So, no momentous events at all of note?

So I see...

...this place still exists. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised, considering... So, on the off possibility someone here still remembers me, and cares ;), I'm back, at least for a while. According to the search, the anniversary of my last post here is in 1 day, 7 hours and 26 minutes, but I can't be...

/me is Swedish. This is just a quick reply, I may look closer at the articles later... First of all; of note is that two of the three cited newspapers - Aftonbladet ("the evening paper") and Expressen ("the Express") are tabloids. I trust you're familiar with the sort. Exaggerati...

If it's the selfextracting process that fails, well, that is just a glorified data-appended PKZip self-extractor. Use WinRAR, WinZIP or anything else that can read such archives and extract manually, see if that helps.

What do you think they do with the organs you let them take? Play the funeral march? Why don't we just cut up dead bodies and use the parts for the people that are living? Excellent idea. And as noted, we already do it! Also, none of these "alternative methods" produce pluripotent stem-ce...

It is the general consensus on this board that no forum is to be used for communicating with single persons. Most of us have also agreed upon using the English language. Your post does not fulfill either condition.

I only say halfway decent because (although it follows the books well) all the actors are horrid British, and all have the frelling British accent, which I can't stand listening to through ONE movie Could this be because the books are British, hmm? As I recall, Bloodhound is the name for NAV's huerestics system. Such systems do misfire, it's not at all certain it's a virus. From the "packer" bit, I'd surmise it's detected some form of executable compressor it's not familiar with, and is taking the paranoid route.

Yep, it's a valid name all right. I'm 90% sure it's a Danish name, to be precise, but Lars could tell better than me.

And yeah, it's most likely fake.

Given that the security of the systems shown off to date has been zero (Windows and MS Access, for crying out loud!) and there being zero peer review - no, no way.

(btw, there is some slight irony in that this is an electronic vote...)

As far as I'm concerned, next time you'll be keeping Stasi tabs on the airlines, and then get your water supply poisoned or something... anything. The whole point of terrorism is unpredictability - fear, uncertainity and doubt, in a nutshell.

Heh, I use a old 25ms 17" Samsung 171S and I don't notice any ghosting most of the time (though due to analog input, there's plenty of noise in dark areas) - so there's plenty of subjectivity in the deal.

Something to note is that photoshop saves about 20 KB of useless metainfo in addition to non-perfectly optimized huffman tables. Nice way to (mostly losslessly) cram your JPEGs down a bit further is to run "jpegtran -copy none -optimize -progressive" using jpegtran from ImageMagick.
