Re: Christians Muslims Atheists. Who really is growing fast
I think religion is also a social bonding thing. Humans always want to belong to some "tribe" that others don't, so the socialization and religiosity parts of the brain are BOTH satisfied. Totally. But I'd rather be part of a game clan and make video games my religion. At least no one get...

Atheism makes it easier to see evil for what it really is: evil. Otherwise we're left with evil packaged as the will of God.

Re: Too many gnomes. What should I do?
If you really need specific apps, just use GTK. I know the Gnome window manager provides options to increase performance by turning off a lot of graphical features. It's like splitting the difference between KDE and LXDE. A stripped down Gnome is way lighter than KDE (and of course, way, way lighter...

I plan to install Fedora with XFCE shortly to replace Linux Mint LXDE. I need something lightweight, but Mint's LXDE is just a little too short on features. Fedora's XFCE build is like a dream come true for me, but that's because I only need a few, specific applications. That's the thing I like most...

I don't know what kind of sound you are going for. I can only tell you what I personally would change. So "improvement" is only an improvement to me, not you. I guess I would a couple things. First, part of the main melody gets lost in the tremolo effect. I would either reduce the effect o...

Wow, much improved. Well done. I do have to say, there is a melody I can't quite make out at 0:48. My guess it that the frequencies are outside my hearing range (I'm going deaf and can't hear anything over 13kHz). If I were to remix this, I'd move that melody to a different register to compensate fo...

I do think the songs sound very similar, but maybe it's because you wrote them around the same time? They have similar progressions, sounds, and tempo. That's not necessarily a bad thing. I wouldn't mind some feedback on my first (and probably last) mission for Descent. :) Vesta Three very dark levels. The lighting is also a bit experimental in places, so if it looks "unnatural" this is intentional. I tried to make them somewhat non-linear too. I can't tell if the levels ar...

RE: Bots, I just got done designing a small set of D1 levels. Really, it's more about the placement and the combination of bots, not a bot's gimmick that makes the game interesting and challenging. Same is true about weapons - less is more. Lasers rule. Phoenix cannon? Not so much, haha.
