Re: What is the meaning of this picture

The picture demonstrates beyond doubt that ghosts, despite being insubstantial, can still damage their bodies by wearing a corset incorrectly.

How do you dodge homing missiles successfully on Ace and Insane without the afterburner? I can dodge them on Hotshot without much trouble, not only in the original Descent but also in Descent 2 and D2X-XL, but every time I try to do it on Ace I end up getting hit by all three. I've only used the \&q...

Obama is more popular than Bush, so naturally you'll find more people attempting to silence criticism of the latter. Try saying a sniper should have shot Thomas Jefferson; I guarantee you will get a very, very negative reaction (although it will most likely be less \"racist bastard\" and m...

I just finished this mission set in the original Descent (in DOSBox) and I did not encounter any crashes on level 25, though I did get about 4 FPS on level 24. That aside, I loved the set. The first few levels were rather uninteresting, but it rapidly improved from level 6 onwards. I suppose I'm a l...

I am an atheist. I live in the United States, which is (as you probably know) predominantly Christian. It does not, in fact, offend me when people say \"Merry Christmas\" or \"Happy Easter.\" I have never met anyone else who would be - and most of my friends are also atheists or ...

Microsoft Security Essentials is great, and I'm not exactly a Microsoft fan. As with any such program you still need to be careful with your por--I mean, web browsing, but as a whole it should eliminate your need to pay for an antivirus. As for firewalls, I advise against ZoneAlarm. At one point it ...

I cannot get my D1 secret levels to work, either - as soon as I enter the level, the game freezes (this is with the original Descent in DOSBox). This occurs upon starting the level, not upon going through the secret exit. My exits and relevant triggers are exactly like the ones in Descent: First Str...

 The best thing is to run wine from the terminal and see what's missing, since it normally tells you what dll it's looking for. NORMALLY! I'm trying to get a free game to run with no luck, at the moment... That was actually one of the first things I tried, but I just get an infinite number of...

Polytron32 on Wine

Has anyone gotten Polytron32 to run in Wine? So far all I've accomplished is getting it to freeze at the splash screen.

I want to make custom robot models for Descent 2, but I do not have frequent access to a Windows computer.
