Norway pays its way primarily via a consumption tax, a VAT of 25% that applies to most purchases. As such, it impacts poor folks way worse than rich folks. So yes, their people get more stuff from their government, but at considerable expense to themselves. Your ideas of having all of that stuff pai...

You folks have been so angry for so long, you deserve a happy day. My heartfelt congrats! Here are my predictions: 1. At this time next year, you'll be lamenting Trump's 2020 re-election, by a wider margin. 2. The house may not go R-majority, but R's will gain seats. 3. R's will not lose any seats i...

I has nothing to do with pulling their code, and GPL isn't GPL. The code in question was granted under GLP version 2. Version 3 has a provision that prevents a contributor from rescinding their grant, but version 2 does not. The code stays in, but anyone using it could potentially be sued for violat...

Interesting read. From my quick take though, it seems to state a lot of future prediction almost as fact. There are so many variables, I find it hard to believe stuff like this could be all that accurate. It would be interesting to go back thru previous such documents (every 4 years) and see how acc...

Did you even READ that article, or just the BS attention-grab headline? Beyond the fact that the author clearly can't do math, it's a pretty big jump from the "plan" on the table to "mortgage interest deduction on the chopping block". The plan would limit TOTAL itemized deduction...

I've had access to and used 3 different large, bus-like, rear engine motorhomes, and one small one built on a Sprinter chassis. Not one of them required any sort of external device. Legal dump stations at campgrounds or rest areas are most often just a vertical pipe down to a holding tank. In the ca...

You're saying that ACA isn't the cause of high marketplace premiums, since employer-sponsored coverage is even higher, but in reality, it's ACA that's causing employer-sponsored premiums to be so high.

So yes, the blame is pretty heavily on ACA.

Actually, it WAS a gun-free zone. It's true that there's no law there now that forces it to be one, but it IS the theater's OWN CLEARLY STATED POLICY, which they still have the right to do. Effectively, that makes it one. see above, and read this: http://littlegreenfootballs.com/article/44868_Debun...
