OK, I just tried v1.6.114 and it crashes to the desktop as soon as the progress bar is complete and the level should start. This applies to d2 missions only, not d1 missions, they work fine. It happens independently of any texture quality or render quality settings. log file btw: I was able to play ...

d2x.log

edit: v1.6.113 - I thought I was to post Bug reports only for the latest version and so did I and therefore I didn't mention the version number, sorry

I've tried it and I am not able to deactivate the forcefield that leads to the red key room and I can't see through the see-through-grates where you can look into the reactor room, but the robots shoot at me and the hidden doors that lead to shield and energy powerups don't open up completely - they...

looks like there are scars from battle on the thighs - not bad fingernails and toenails texture should not be so dark - looks unreal - maybe look at a rhino's horn or the toes of a rhino or elephant to get an idea for a texture? the fingernail should not cover the whole phalanx - it should cover hal...

well I know that an image has to be decompressed by the software to display the image, it's the same with JPG and every compressed format - but the main thing I was going for was the smaller download size and space requirements on the HDD

here in Germany a Bluetooth Dongle is about 10-15€ - you won't see a cable that cheap very often

Where did the suggestions thread go? Anyways - it might fit in here, too. The 109 textures released so far take up 190MB coz they are uncompressed Targa Format with Alpha channel, so it's 32 bit or 4 bytes per pixel. Why not use Portable Network Graphics Format (PNG)? It supports 8 bit alpha channel...

I'd advise to use a Bluetooth dongle rather than a cable 1st reason: cordless 2nd reason: you can use it with any phone that has Bluetooth (send files to a friend's phone, use it with a phone you might buy in the future) you don't have to install anything on your phone to receive files from the PC -...

somehow the muscle strings on the shoulders and upper legs look anatomically wrong (can't put it in better words / be more specific) I don't think it's a modelling issue, but some lines on the texture may produce this appearance and it gives me a weird feeling looking at the fingernails having the s...

When I look at it the first thing that comes into my mind is Ego-Shooter and only on the second look/thought it reminds me of Descent - The doors look like doors from Unreal or something in Lo-Res - don't get me wrong, it looks far better than the original level architecture-wise, but if I could do ...

Another one that's peanuts and I already reported it: in the movie list intro.mve is listed twice, but final.mve (that's the name IIRC) isn't listed at all

so you can't watch the D1 end movie

DizzyRox the energy powerup now is perfect! But now to another thing: DizzyRox works around NovacroN's efforts, which is ok since it would be stupid to do things twice, especially if there's that much work involved, but as NovacroN didn't release all of his textures and obviously isn't working on th...

Could it be that the search doesn't work anymore? Or is it just that posts older than X weeks are not found by the search or even get deleted?

I for one don't think that the Energy powerup is THAT bad - at least it's better than the one in D3 IMHO.
But the shield orb as well as the energy sparkle are animated WAY too fast (dunno if it's just my PC)

I progged it myself and why should I add Spyware to an open source game? It's absolutely risk-free - you can even download the source from the CVS tree and compile it yourself. You need a cellphone to play it properly, though. Just send the file to the phone and it should get installed. If your phon...

I am writing a mobile phone game which is almost done now. The homepage is at http://mobilepicross.sf.net and the game can be downloaded at http://switch.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/mobilepicross/Mobile_Picross_v0.9.jar . I'll try that tomorrow or at the weekend

I hope VS .NET 2005 can cope with the source code - I have to do some things with Direct3D and DirectShow for University and none of the examples work - it's frustrating, but it has to do with the crappy DirectX SDK which shouldn't affect D2X-XL
