Avoid the SiS chipsets. They are no where near as good as VIA. As JMEat suggested, I would stick with the Nforce3 chipset if you want to go that route. At this point getting an AthlonXP is going to be a dead end upgrade. There isn't going to be any new ones. The same goes for current P4s, a new form...

All it does is reduce the file size of each folder. Its a space saving mechanism. Unless he's really short on disk space it isn't going to help much. I doubt his mail store directory is over 100megs.

Is anyone running this card? I'm currently using the onboard sound on my Abit AI7 and I'm growing tired of the pops and clicks I get in certain games. Its quite annoying. Also, I had a Live 5.1! installed, but for whatever reason it didn't function properly under games using EAX or EAX2. Elite Force...

It may be because you are buying $10 powersupplies. In contrast, my PC Power and Cooling Turbo Cool 425 powersupply was $125. It has a 5 year warranty and its built like a tank. Another possible cause is poor house wiring. You may want to consider a line conditioner. A nice UPS would act as a batter...
