Re: Hermione

I won't argue with any of that, TC. I would say I'm the same way with books, though I'm not a Harry Potter fan. As for Jesus, I was tempted to counter-troll Jeff by making some outlandish remark about the superiority of whiteness, and Jesus being a miraculous exception to the complexion of his peers...

Re: Hermione

My question to everyone now, is race essential to any fictional character? As long a race isn't the central aspect of that character, why does it matter? Is the space time continuum going to implode because a fictional character might be played by actors of differing races at differing points in ti...

Re: Hermione

I think it may have to do with how we identify with characters, and how changing gender or ethnicity effects this, but certainly also just how much of a difference there is between black people and white people as characters. You guys shouldn't pretend that there isn't something legitimate to all of...

Re: Think Trump is bad?

What life requires of a man (or a woman), and what either one is capable of becoming, is so much more than most people settle/allow for. The necessity of strength has not diminished in the 21st century, but it's foolish to hold it over intelligence as a quality--a man needs to excel at both or he is...

I was at a state park the other day, and there were a bunch of Russian teens and a few adults driving around in a single, large pickup truck (had to be at least a dozen people in the bed of the truck). You know, ST, I am grateful to the people who helped me when no one wanted to help, and many people are grateful to me that no one was able to help them, except me, almost in a hopeless situation for them. Personally I feel that this much money just thrown to the wind according to a person's individual fancies is a shameful waste, which is why I would start businesses, schools, or camps, which could become largely self-perpetuating sources of income, and serve to improve people's lives. When you speak...

I know two men who have prayed for and received healing from God for major, life-ending illness, both for themselves and others. Most church-goer experience is basically as you say, though. Most church-goers don't experience miracles, so they call things miracles that are not miracles.

I'd like a Sonic game that is 3rd-hedgehog, and really gives the player the feel of having so much speed at their disposal, with a super-fast mode that's more like bullet-time.
