Re: General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy Directive
No offence taken. I made this post to learn about something I new little about. I've been doing it for years with jquery as well. But yes, people should be prompted, even if we think it should be obvious almost all sites do this at some level.

Ah, to be young again. I sometimes stay up till midnight if I'm playing a video game. I used to do that with Descent and right now I'm on Metro Exodus. But I pay for that lack of sleep by yawning and bad tiredness the next day if I don't sleep waaaaay in the next morn. Being old sucks. I'm sure it'...

If they really didn't want their IP address reaching google they should have blocked their computer from pinging it in the first place because it all happens client side. You're rational about how GDPR should work, but I don't see where on the official GDPR site gives the user any responsibility or...

Yeah, you can assume this is basically about ads and tracking cookies. Stuff like the cookie that the DBB uses is strictly for the functionality of the DBB itself. The only things the DBB cookies store on your computer are your user ID, session ID (which is randomly generated every login), and a pa...

if you make chess dot com account and play a few games it gives you a rank. Once you're at your true level the game is more fun, as your opponents are about as serious or unserious about chess as you are.

Homophobia is a mental disease that nurses hate. People with this phobia, like Neo, like to use an ancient religious book to justify acting on that hate by sanctioning death as a divine punishment. They may not believe they're haters, but they are. They certainly have no humanity at all, because th...

I think Ferno's point is valid that people of color tend to be on the receiving end of cop violence more than white people do, even when being compliant. The issue is, nobody is arguing against that. Ferno made that point to sound like he was countering a very racist argument nobody here has made. ...
