Sorry, not fixed.

v1.6.140

Water still only one hires frame. Started a new player and opened vertigo level 1. Still no change from savegame graphics.

win 1.6.138 Still got the same water problem that simx spoke about earlier. Also have had a few times, instead of showing the hires switch, the hires \"start\" door is shown opening and closing and shooting it causes a CTD. This is an intermittant fault.

ok problems with 1.6.124

loaded 2 savegames, both CTD
started new game CTD
loaded savegame game actually loaded but brightness is way down and keyboard and mouse non responsive
tried another savegame, same thing
went back to 1. 6.123 all is well

same here new game, saved game, new pilot, all the same. All crash after progress bar loads. Actually, d2 lvl1 actually showed the level for a split second before crashing to desktop.

The spot you have to hit on the hi-rez trigger seems to be quite small. I have had to shoot it numerous times in different locations on the switch before hitting the correct spot to activate it. I don't know if that is your doing or a program thing.

the hi-res textures need to go in a folder called textures.

eg c:\\games\\descent2\\textures

this is the only place that d2x-xl looks.

You also need to have

Options > Render Options > Advanced Render Options > Render Quality set to Very High or Highest for the best results.

ok win 1.6.101 all currently released h-r textures

D2 level 1 cube 171 side 3 is triggered by the switch back in the corridor, but the robots behind it are firing through it at me.

like Aus-red-5 commented about higher up

I hope this is a bug and not just something I've forgotten :oops: :?

win 1.6.101 I have found the following to happen. With inventory and drop all powerups turned on, started d2 level 1, allow self to be killed. Found that an invulnerability orb is released along with all other powerups dropped at death. This can then be collected along with other stuff after respawn...

I love the new hi rez shield orbs and energy sparks. 2 comments though: I would like to see the shield orbs with a slight fuzz around the surface, a bit like the atmosphere haze you see around planets, with the lightning looking as if it's moving through the atmosphere rather than across the surface...

When you use a cloak (and I think invuln) inventory item, you get the pickup sound. Could you keep the pickup sound but change the use sound to the original sound used before they became inventory items?

It just doesn't sound right!! Please..... :)

Diedel, 1.6.64 I have the \"treat mouse as a joystick\" option set and I have mapped the slide axes to the mouse axes, (assuming this is what I need to do) but the mouse still acts like a mouse. I only slide while the mouse is moving. Have I mapped it incorrectly or what? Also: The SP game...

Dropping markers and running through markers has the wrong sound effect associated with it. It currently plays the missile launch sound instead of the original beep-beep sound.

Is it possible to have the standard \"collect powerup\" sound when getting cloak and invulnerability items as inventory? It just seems a bit odd to assimilate them (insert your favourite BORG quote here) with no audio cue whatsoever.

Drives you mad, doesn't it! I had lost hi-res for 3 or 4 versions and then got them back in .39; so far they are still there. YAY!!!

New download of Hi-res textures and 1.6.36

I have Hi-Res textures again!!

As far as I could see, the textures simply overwrote what was there, so I don't know, but it works. Hooray!

Previously, all the lights were DEFINITELY hi-res, sharp edges and frames, some wall textures and grills as well.

It is the first thing I look for with a new version, as I test with level 1 and the lights on either side of the start point shold be hi-res and are not.

no Hi-res, stepped back to .32 .31, (.exe only) no hi-res in any version.

Doors open and close in response to weapons/flares but once you pass through and then open it from the other side, the door then remains open: D2 Counterstrike level 1

Created new player, no difference
