But just to get this straight:

When a robot displays you see it in the first moment in another color (I mostly see a blue scheme). Then it displays correctly, right?
Or is this constantly broken for you? This should just be a thing of some milliseconds.

You mean the D2 robot briefings? If yes, that is currently related to the Redrawing menus.

Oh I built a homer with custom textures? I'll check that out.

EDIT:
I re-uploaded the windows package for D2X-Rebirth-0.52 which has that Texture loading bug fixed. Please just download it again, replace the EXE file and it won't happen anymore....

I needed to remove them since they caused several bugs in Demo playback (secondary weapons displayed in Primary box) and weapon cycling. Probably some day I will re-implement this, but this won't work with the current code, so I need to rewrite some parts of the code and I don't want to break compab...

The bug within secret levels is known.

And it's also fixed already. We are currently in Closed Alpha Testing phase and now we are moving to Beta next week. I am just not sure if this will be a Closed or Open Beta test.

Anyways I think the new version will be out in the first week of may.

Hm I guess the movies would probably playbetter, if you use the Lowres Movies. If you have copied them to the D2X-Directory as well, you can activate them by the INI switch -lowresmovies. We always work on constant improvements of the performance. But still I doubt these improvements may help on you...

GL_Scissoring is currently used to smooth the weapon boxes in the D2 cockpit.
It's normally no big deal, but old cards can suffer with these operations.

So probably you can improve in-game performance by setting it to 0

Syntax for this option is:
-hud 1
-hud 2
or
-hud 3
(sure, hud 1-3 look same in cockpit and Statusbar, differs in Full-Screen mode)

If you have low FPS while playing try to set INI option
-gl_scissor_ok 0
This *may* improve the ingame performance a little bit.

Next Version of D1X/D2X-Rebirth has fixed this bug. This behaviour you notice is related to high FPS.The higher the FPS, the better the homers do turn. Next version will have this fixed (optional to turn it off again as well).

The next version contains a new joystick mapping layout for both D1X and D2X-Rebirth.

Also the \"Weapon keys\" (which includes weapon cycling for D1X) can be mapped to joystick (buttons or hat) as well.

For me the fonts are OK. Nevertheless they are dark, but I have this problem on many sites. But That is because I use a very low contrast setting on my TFT.
I correct this with my browser by selecting a larger default-font.

Okay. What you want is already in D1X. The UDP/IP feature should do that. It's not already implemented to D2X and currently I doubt I will have enough time to do it in a near future... Actually I tried to play with that code some days ago, but currently no go. I also can't say so much about the axis...

Yeah you can NOT make GPL code commercial.

But the GPL CAN'T say which codes you can \"convert to GPL\" (if this is possible however). There you would need to ask Parallax.

This is what I know. I could be wrong. Do what you want. I guess PARALLAX will not complain anymore

AFAIK you can't change the license of a code that easy. Even if you rewrite wide parts of that code it's still a problem.

Also see SCO vs. Linux.

But sure you can put those additions to GPL.

D1X-/D2X-Rebirth have both fixed the missile turning rates. Also mouse movement or the turn rate overall is FPS independent.

I also have experienced a problem with screen flashes as a powerup is picked up. I realise that that is an original part of the game but I'm not sure that the degree of the flash is normal. If I run over several powerups at one time my screen is obscured almost to the point of being hit with a coup...

I increased the max. value for levels in a very early stage of DXX.
Reading my Changelog I increased it to 5000 missions.
