Krom, Sorry for the late response. I "installed" d3 by copying over the files I had saved on my portable hard drive along with the no-cd crack. But I just tried installing it with the disc now. I click on the CD in "my computer," I get the windows 7 blue circle loading thing for ...

I got past that previous problem, but now the game freezes at the "connecting" screen (to a game) and then automatically quits.

Anyone had this problem?

Realized this happens when I try to launch the game directly from its file as well (its not a vortex issue).

These sort of topics are always fun. It's funny, I've played Descent 3 on and off since about 2001, and was never very good at it. Never played the first two Descents online either so I clearly would never reach the top. I got moderately OK only after a little bit of training with Zero! and behemoth...

The terrain would matter too. If it was just a big, well-lit open area then Batman would have a harder time. But if it was at night, and there were a bunch of shadows and tall obstacles..
