I dimly remember some movie where people were able to connect themselves to computers and download information into their brains. I can't remember what movie it was... each time I try to think of the name I think of Minority Report, but I know that one was different. However, it wouldn't surprise me...

That's a beaver (which just happens to be the Canadian national animal). I don't know enough about otters to say anything but that they're mustelids (weasel family), very playful, and I like them.roid wrote:Dunno wtf an otter is like, they make dams or something yeah?

Ice Boss in the Vertigo Series
Does anyone know why there's a matcen in Vertigo level 9 that generates indestructible Ice Bosses (the level 16 boss from D2 Counterstrike)?
Does anyone know exactly why they're indestructible?
I just thought that it was... wierd.

Never succeeded to win D3, always got killed by that train (don't laugh). It isn't that I am a noob or so (after all played through both D1 and D2 on all difficulty levels except for insane) but I always got killd by the train. Interesting. In D1 and D2, I can't beat any level on any difficulty lev...

How many Descenters play Magic cards?
How many Descent players play Magic: The Gathering? I'm interested to know (obviously.) I play, but I'm not very good at it.

I'm rearranging the order of the levels. The level that was going to be level 3 is now level 4, levels 1 and 2 are switched, and I've almost finished building a completely new (boss) level for level 3. I'm also going to rebuild the final level (level 5)completely differently, to make it more enjoyab...

My 18th Birthday
I've turned 18 today!!! (In Manitoba, 18 is the age when I'm legally an adult).
I've already promised myself that I will never drink alcohol, smoke, or take drugs, in case you were wondering. I'm not interested in poisoning myself.

What is the coolest Descent robot?
What, do you think, is the coolest robot in each Descent game? These are my favourites: D1: Secondary Lifter D2: Bper, TRN Racer, and Green Spider (The D2 spider has the coolest robot sounds, in my opinion, and the TRN Racer's sounds are a close second. The Bper I just like for how it looks.) D2 Ver...

I have that the exact same way too. It's sort of like an infinite loop... in the dream, when whatever it is happens, I remember I had a dream about it, and a dream about that dream and so on... and the same when it happens in waking life. BTW - Duper, I have obviously been playing Descent too much, ...

You know, I can't remember if the books are sequential and I don't quite remember if they are based on D2 or D3. D3 maybe? :? The books (at least the third one, which is the only one I've read) seemed to have been based on D2, as all the weapons and bots used for most of the book were from D2 or D2...

EDIT: Alter-fox, I'm sorry, I'm gonna have to redo the whole level from scratch. However don't fret, I'll keep your overall layout intact and you'll still get half credit for the level regardless. So I'm taking your level idea and 'remaking it' as it were. That's fine. I'm just a novice level build...

I think I've had dreams where I was perversly happy in the dream, but then I came to my senses when I woke up. There have also been times when I woke up, didn't remember HAVING any dreams, but I remembered what was in the dreams. And I've also had dreams about a trilogy of novels I'm writing, one th...

edit: you're right. Abrupt climate changes HAVE happened in the past, even quicker than nowadays (i.e. within a lifetime), and have lead to drastic changes in ecosystems and cultures. That doesn't mean that we should keep releasing toxic chemicals into the air and the water. Aggravating it could ca...
I often have dreams where I know I'm dreaming, although they're not lucid dreams. In these dreams I know I have to do something to wake up, usually jumping off a cliff or something like that. (My brother just commented that it seems like I have to kill myself to wake up, which is probably the most l...

In level 4 of D3 Retribution there were the Black Pyros... and BlueDevil, a multiplayer level that came with the Mercenary pack but was made by a fan, had them too. You could face them in singleplayer. And if you can't find it, you could always ask someone to make a level with them. There were the S...

I've had many prophetic dreams. Sad part is I don't remember them until that exact moment in time passes. It's reffered to as Deja-vu. It's a split second image that happens in real life for me and I'm like, I have seen this before. I've had this since I was a teen. I don't remember them until they...
Dreams
Yesterday I had a very interesting conversation with someone who is taking a course on dreams. According to my dreams, I am spiritually a dolphin. I've also had dreams that were somewhat prophetic, like a dream about the Secret2 demo in D3 which I think I had just after I first played D1 in 1995 or ...

Re:
Actually, AlterFox, the coldness of the water from pole caps melting won't do it, it will be the amount of water released that will dilute the oceans's salt density. This density is what supports the ocean currents. When diluted, the currents won't work properly, and the warm waters from the equato...

I'm running Descent 2 with dosbox, but using dle-xp to build levels because the only other editor I can get to work is the DMB2 demo, and apart from the obvious difference in level size, it's also much faster and easier for me to build with dle-xp. What I meant was that if I delete any objects, the ...

I made a small level a few weeks ago, based on the idea I had for secret level 1 of my D3 set. Unfortunately, I ended up putting powerups and robots into it, because I didn't know there'd be a chance for it to be included in this. If it were possible to remove the powerups and robots (deleting objec...

Just to point out, CO2 getting absorbed by the water could (I don't know for sure,) affect marine life. All life on Earth is important to all other life. This could be a worse scenario because we don't understand marine life as well as land based life, and so don't know how it will affect us as well...
