Backed the project.
Triple A Descent game? That's worth backing.
Sure would like to see SolC hit the market also.
I think that renewed popularity of Descent is going to push Descent back into the mainstream.
So for $30, it's well worth it.
From what I have read, the project looks quite good.

New descent? Prequel? Definitely interested. I wrote WingMan and got a response within a few hours. Here's his reply to my many questions regarding the Descent IP, Sol Contingency C&D, MMO/pay to play, etc: Descendent Studios says: 1. We have a license for Descent 2. It is a session based team o...

Hrm. dont think a subscription to an operating system is a good idea. When I purchased my Surface2 Pro tablet, I had the option of buying the 2013 edition of Office for $100 or so, as opposed to the $100 per year they wanted for Office 365. At least I own this office and dont have to pay more for it...

Any thoughts?

Noise Cancelling headphones suggestions needed
My sennheiser pc350 headphones are giving me problems (mic goes off if the connector isnt pushed as far forward as possible), so I'm thinking of getting some new headphones.
I use them primarily for pc gaming, so I need a mic, but I'd also like to use them for travelling.
Any suggestions?

From the comments it seems that they're releasing a free to play version, and from there possibly some form of funding for the rest, or (perhaps I'm reading into their comments), they have potential funding sources already.. :?: . Good points.
the Yamaha system and Bose system at Costco seem like good buys.
I have a stereo system I'm going to try and set up first...but if that doesnt work, I'll go for the Bose (once I get some cash).
Thanks for the input!

I spent so much time on that router. It's either malfunctioning, or there's another issue at work that I cant discover. The NetGear is working adequately. If I had a Frys or something close by (and didnt have to ship everything), I'd try again with another Asus. But for now, I think I'm calling it d...

So I'm kind of stuck with the Netgear....tho I could return it to BB if I could get another online.
I hate the chance of getting another Asus and having it not work. I spent so much time trouble shooting the last one....

Hrm. First tests show that things are choppy with the ASUS (.5 to 2 second pauses) while gaming, however the Netgear has no such issue. Re: Choppy cable gaming
I have 2 weeks to return the router...so today I'll go to Best Buy and get a netgear wifi router with a built in switch (N750 maybe?).
At least then I can verify that it's THIS router, not another, or that it's all wifi router/switches.
Any other ideas, or perhaps a recommended netgear router model?

I updated the firmware on the router to the latest that Asus had, but no change. Re: Choppy cable gaming
Just tried visualwares voip test.
It said my connection's jitter was measured as 31.3 ms...too unpreditable to sustain a constant flow of data.
Packet loss was 0.0%
MOS score is estimated to be 3.4
this was done tonight, hooked up thru my router, and with no issues while gaming.

I'm thinking of going back to DSL. I only had 7mb up and 1.5 dl, but pings were good and steady.

Yep, no tri-chording in Talon is not a problem.
If it has it, great.
If it doesnt, great.
The game will stand on it's own merits.
Afterburner is a much more important aspect IMO.
