It's in the properties for the microphone, that you access by right-clicking on the volume control icon and clicking "Recording Devices".

The green checkmark means that it's the current default device. The recording tab will show ALL of the available recording sources, not just the ones in use. Select the mic you want to use, click "set default" and it's now the default recording device. One of those is your built-in mic arr...

If you go with a model that uses a regular 3.5" drive, I really recommend you get a unit that has a built-in fan. As you know, these drives put out a fair amount of heat, and in a tiny enclosed space...you get the idea.

Right-click on the speaker icon in your system tray, and click Recording Devices. Set your mic as the default device. Check to see if mic boost is on, and adjust the level as necessary. Problem solved.

Seriously though, as annoying as the thief is, it's there for a reason. Keeping a watchful eye out for it will help you last longer in multi-player matches.

Check that the IDE cable is plugged into the drive correctly? (colored stripe should be on the side where the drive gets power) Make sure the drive is spinning up? Double-check the power source for the enclosure?

Yes, I know its IDE. However, if you check the last bit of flip's post, he mentions to make sure the jumper is set to master. Otherwise it won't work.

Just do an NTFS quick format. Only takes a few seconds, and to her it will appear as if everything is gone. You get the free drive, and do whatever the hell you want with it later. ;)
