No, that's not the concept for the Black Pyro. That's a 3D rendering by an artist unaffiliated with Outrage.

Kyouryuu sure, he does level design for a living so he knows what he's talking about. I've seen some of Kruel's stuff, that was pretty sweet back in the 90s. Don't know the rest of them.

I ran through this thing on Rebirth during testing. Only had it crash on level 21, and with the number of segment errors in that level I'm surprised it didn't crash on everything. That's been fixed and I've never had any problems since.

Descent can not win that poll. Fallout was just magnitudes more popular - I'm surprised to see it leading by 3-1. I expected more like 30-1.

Anyway, make sure you sign up and vote Descent as your favorite original Interplay creation. Back in the day, we had to battle with fans of Freespace to keep Descent IV possible, now let us battle with these fans of Fallout. Raise the numbers so Descent is seen as number 1, as it should be. That wa...

Thrown some custom textures and energy centres into level 23. I might look at it tomorrow and hate everything but fingers crossed. The textures must be better than they were at least.

No more work on 4 yet. Running through caves in my head to think of something I haven't already done with them.

Yeah, I never thought it smart to sell military equipment to unstable countries. If the tide doesn't turn your way it comes back to bite you.

That said, pit an Iranian fighter against an Israeli and I'd put my money on the Israeli any day. Technology notwithstanding they're just better pilots.

Probably that intersection beyond the wall behind the blue door would be a good place to put an energy centre. Somewhere in there. For level 26, yeah, one of the problems of balancing for D2-XL is that you can change so many variables on the fly. Best to make sure it's playable for people using othe...

OK, after playing the last few levels on Hotshot, there are a handful of mostly balancing-related comments I'd like to make. 23, A Road That Leads - this being dark, you're going to be using energy, whether through the headlight or flares, to be able to see much. Right now there are no energy centre...

Cockpits completed. Because you need a separate .pog for each level, it adds 5MB to the file size. Otherwise it'd be about one.

Obsidian level 6 had an area where robots would shoot you through intersecting geometry, at the top of the boss room. I didn't spot it until after the mission was released to the public.

It's a bit hard to be smaller than 50. ;)

Actually, this would be a great help for future projects using a UE version. Between 2k4 and 3, what can each do that the other can't from a technical standpoint?
