Yea, this one has always confused me, but I suspect the guy who designed that level would be laughing right now. Wolfie's right - the only way to disable those force fields is by the panels you shot.

I have a Lenovo X60 and it's sweet as heck. No lag whatsoever in GIMP ((what program are you using, by the way?) and when you're not using it in tablet mode, it's got a nice TrackPoint to move the cursor in place of the fingerpad.

I don't know where you could try one, though.

The PDF export was much needed, although I'm surprised they managed to do that without gaining Adobe's eternal enmity - after all, who's going to buy Acrobat for Office file conversions now? As for the ODF convertor, the one I was thinking of was to be written by Microsoft, but Open Source is better...

Microsoft Office is actually a nice product, I'll give them that, but free and good tops $300 and good anyday. :D Long live OpenOffice.

Two features of OpenOffice I particularly like are the native PDF export across the entire suite and Impress's (a.k.a. Powerpoint) Flash export.

This may not be precisely what you're looking for, but I have two suggestions just for usability. First off, the drop-down menus aren't cross-browser compatible - they're offset to the right by a hundred pixels or so on IE7. Also, the user shouldn't have to scroll sideways to view parts of the page....

Those fonts are handy for making Descent wallpapers and the like. I'm pretty sure I actually did use one of them as a Windows font at one point or another.
