Trump won more Evangelical votes than Cruz did. "Maybe Trump is a reflection of the weak American pastors that preach prosperity over Truth." via Matt Walsh: Trump won South Carolina, a supposedly conservative Christian state, by a wide margin tonight. A few quick reactions: - Don't ratio...

Only 20 days left. I guess they're not going to fund... Where do people get this idea? The pattern with kickstarters is that you need to get about 30% funding in the first week, 20% funding in weeks 2-3 combined, and the last 50% will come in the last week (with most of it in the last day or two, w...

I thought it was awesome that they were talking about this. There was passing mention by some of the Revival folks, more than once, of a desire to release the D3 source code. :( :D That's not a guarantee that anything will happen, but it shows it's a thought at least. Specifically, they said that t...

Re: Scalia dead at 79
I think Bush for sure would have named someone. And Senate dems would have tried to stall the nomination. And DBB left-leaners would have supported them, and DBB right-leaners would have supported Bush, using the exact same arguments that the other side is now using. So I'm just curious if there's a...

He says "we should not confirm ANY BUSH NOMINEE" (emphasis his). He does go on to expand that he's worried about Bush nominating "wingers", but he's definitely taking the same sort of stance as McConnell.Vander wrote:Schumer doesn't say "nobody." He says "no wingers."

Anyone else here think it'd be interesting to search each others' DBB and/or other public comments to find out whether they supported Schumer making the same comment about Bush nominees, about 18 months before Bush's term ended?

There's an Icewolf in Descent Rangers: http://descentrangers.com/MemberProfile ... 6800ce5040
he's one of the most active D2 players around. Follow the instructions on the top of the Rangers page to get set up with mumble and come say hi to those who still play!

voter fraud is a small issue that's been blown out of proportion.... We've seen suppression in action The trick here is that voter suppression is easier for individuals to spot -- because it happens directly to someone. We don't actually know that it's a larger issue than fraud; we don't have a com...

Re: Voter fraud...
IMO, voter fraud and vote suppression are the same issue. They're both attempts to give +1 extra margin to your side, either by adding a fake vote or removing a legitimate vote. So I don't buy the reasoning that one problem is somehow worse than the other, or that we should accept 10x more of one to...

Still don't see how a legitimate voter would be required from getting picture ID... There are still parts of the country where it's difficult for people from certain minority groups to get ID. it comes across as excuse-making for Trump, though. It's not like Cruz performed unexpectedly well at Carson's expense. Cruz, Rubio, Carson, and Ron Paul all outperformed the last polls , while Trump and the low-single-digit crowd all underperformed. The Cruz shenanigans might account for a tiny bit...

I think if I had fifteen cops pointing guns at me, I would just let my nose run, and keep my hands up. Seriously. There's no reasonable scenario in which a person who just tried to run a police roadblock and now has police pointing guns at them would do anything with their hands other than "on...
