Actually, all it means is that at one time in the past it was warmer and then some plants froze and the ice covering these plants is melting because it's getting warmer. So basically, all it says is that it's getting warmer... It's a fallacy to say that just because it used to be warmer in the past ...

I actually found it pretty entertaining. Maybe our tastes differ. =) There are definitely some things in it that are wrong, but I thought it was good overall. I don't remember him saying anything about mosquitos spreading the west nile virus more because they like the warmer climate. But even if he ...

Re:
Proper OOP programming is easy once you learn the syntax. I disagree. You can know C++ from top to bottom and not have a clue about proper object oriented analysis and design. It's possible to learn OOP without learning C++ and it's possible to learn C++ without learning OOP. Regardless, he doesn't...

That's exactly what she did. If you take the time to read the thread, you'll see that all the initial overreacting (he needs to be banned etc. etc.) came from other people.TigerRaptorFX wrote:What you should have done was just tell us about the problem and look for advice to solve the problem.

Re:
That is also very silly. In our "civilized society" we don't have an obligation to notify the criminals that we are trying to find the evidence that they broke the law!! Whoa. What ever happened to being innocent until proven guilty? Have you ever considered the fact that most of the peop...

Re:
Adding *support* for something does not mean it has to be used. Right. But it does mean that Diedel spends his time working on that instead of working on other things. It's completely up to him, of course. But I'd prefer to see the code get organized. Organized code makes it easier to add these fea...

Here's my feature request: Let's not add any new features to the code that require the creation of new data. Example of features not to add: 1. New Models 2. New Game types that require different level design. 3. Anything that hurts the framerate and doesn't significantly improve gameplay. 4. Anythi...

But that's not what's happening to Bet. Yeah. Bettina's situation is a little different. But I have had the experience where I'm in a game with Bettina and someone calls me a cheater. I tried to deal with the person who was calling me a cheater and Bettina called me a jerk. That hurt my feelings. I...
Re:
What were you doing to get banned so often? Playing too good? :) Basically yeah. The bans were for cheating, but I never cheated. That's when I learned that it's necessary to stand up for myself and even use profanity if needed. While I usually don't curse, sometimes it feels appropriate. Otherwise...
Re:
Suncho, from my point of view, the opinion you issued here is highly objectionable. :) Perhaps you're right. I think I got too emotionally involved. I was frustrated because the kind of thing that happened to Bettina has happened to me many times before and I felt like I could see an easy way to ma...

Re:
Whoa! Are we actually talking about banning someone for using a certain name and speaking certain words? Let's get some perspective here! That just sounds wrong to me. It's a game and it's just words, and whoever it was, was just messing around. Bettina, honestly you have made yourself a target wit...
