This thread is going very nicely. You guys have the idea. This is a measure of interest. Not really a deciding item. It helps more with planning and it is always something good to some investors. Plus it makes us all feel warm and toasty to know everyone is still interested.

Thank You!

Ok zbriggs, not to be mean, but you always sound very cocky in your posts. A cocky programmer is a good thing  , but bad for most everything else. That's a good thing. Then I'm good with being cocky. Most people don't realize this but I am actually a programmer. I was put in this position aft...

Not to be mean but you should ask your local sources and work what that combo would cost. I think it's retail value is marked at $250 or $300.

However, if the poll turns out good we may start vending as soon as June as long as we have clearence. Based on this infor...

I voted NO because I could most likely find the parts somewhere else for cheaper. CALIFORNIA I highly doubt that. The video card (Geforce 6800GT 256MB GDDR3 16x PCI Express) and memory (1GB DDR) combo kit is only $150. I voted no, even though I think it is a good idea, because I'm planning on using...

Now, please keep in mind that I never said you couldn't make backup copies. The only way we would allow something like that would be if we had an exchange program where if you broke or damaged your disc you could send it to us and we would replace it either for free or for like a $1.00.

Re: Core Decision \"delayed until 2007\"

Sad. But True. Sad because, in my view "2007" is a code-word for "never". *sigh* I'm not sure how delaying the game's release by a few months translates into never happening. This is just plain being negative, a great deal of games delay now days. We didn't even try to come up w...

I will remind people once again that we are not planning to have any full outdoor levels.

As for limitations, once again the limitation is the resources it consumes. This would mean that you need to decide what your target resources are and then create your design guildlines based on that.

OK, the reason we have never answered the BSP / CSG limitations question is because there wasn't an answer. The engine doesn't restrict your level size but your system resources do. You can't build a level larger than your system resources can handle. We have no plans to make any outdoor or in space...

Presently yes, you could make an outdoor level if you wanted to.

And I run an older AGP card. Works fine. As long as the card supports PS 2.0 and DirectX 9.0 then you are probably OK. I don't however recommend going any lower than an AGP Radeon 9700 or equivalant.

This does not mean that we have outdoor areas. This demo is designed to show what the engine is capable of. We will have areas that view the outdoors but you will still be unable to fly freely. The biggest reason we do not have outdoor areas is because it completely changes the game flow, speed, and...

I'm sorry that you feel this way but it is also a logical thought that those people would have quit instead of continuing to play.

Additionally, the game will recommend that they move up in level when it feels they have mastered it.
