Its a bug in the D1 engine itself based on robot path-finding. I guess that particular layout of the level screws with robot path-finding when they are finding routes to get to you and it crashes. Given that a thread in a forum other then ethics and commentary got to 3 pages in a week is a good indicator that the answer is yes. 8)

If PXO worked, I would've been playing online years earlier then I did. I think a lot of new players would arrive if it wasn't such a maze to play online.

The BOZ bots aren't too bad, unless they the pheonix's pick up vauss. Then they get obnoxious. But smart missles are astoudingly effective against them, so it all evens out.

I used the astral cheat on level 25 to fly directly to the boss room, the D1X crashes got too frusterating...but kudos, it *is* incredibly well made.

Hmm....I'm pretty sure I found a descent 1 sound editor that could do that..it was on planetdescent I believe.

If not, you can always just google it, and find some freeware software that will do it.

I just use the plain-old, un-updated version of fraps, and it works fine. (Although, I have heard rumors that Fraps steals passwords, but I've never experienced it)
