I've dug up an old Nvidia Geforce 2 MX (64 MB) in my basement hardware stash which is AGP x4 and runs in my mobo. XP recognized it and installed the drivers; then I've upgraded to the MSI drivers which came with OpenGL. Now when I play the game on 1280x960 it sometimes starts a level in some kinda w...

Actually I've never seen this happen anywhere, and I've been to a lot of boards (Doom9, Digital Digest).

Descent has its design problems...like overpowered missiles in multiplayer. Overpowered in terms of what? Speed? Destructive power? Cause I disagree. You know, I've modified the Stadium port in D3 to include all weapons in the game (after all the host can disallow any he doesn't like) and we've bee...

Just so you know - I'm back ;)

Since we're not allowed to use sigs anymore I justed wanted you guys to know that I've put up my page again. Moon's Descendarium - THE single player guide to Descent 1-3 featuring tips, tricks, map screenshots and demos that should help you get along just fine. I've also put back up The 'Official' D...

Signatures actually broken or deprecated?

I was astonished to see ppl posting without sigs cause I always thought they were useful to see where ppl are coming from, especially when you're not a regular visitor. Now I was told signature support was broken. Is that correct? If so how did it happen and why wasn't it fixed? IMO it would make se...

I've already updated to the latest graphics drivers for my Compaq NX7000 laptop at hp.com, the ATI page over at AMD does only provide links to Mobility Radeons > 9400. Yes I'm using Direct3D drivers cause I'm not sure where to get OpenGL drivers for my cards. Do you have to have a seperate driver fo...

'Log me on automatically each visit' does not work

This is another phpBB forum that does not log me in automatically, even though this option is checked.

Cookies are allowed in Firefox 1.5.0.8. Any suggestions? TIA!

Getting de(s)cent graphics on 'current' hardware under XP

Since I decided to put more emphasize on RL a few years ago (which turned out to be a good decision, btw) which included dropping out of the hardware update frenzy to keep up with latest games, I've restricted myself to buy cheap hardware that suits my needs (surfing, openoffice, etc.) Intrigued by ...

Woah, even 2? Do you think there's any way to contact these guys (who are they, btw) and ask them to dig the tools off of their hd? I mean, today everything that adds something to D3 is a plus, right? And I still prefer having the tool convert the raw 'grid design' of a level, so I can spend the adj...

D2 -> D3 level converter ever released to the public?

Alright, first post after roughly 2 years. I just got back from a Descent timeout intrigued by the D1X port. So I thought I'd like to try to convince my buddies to relive the old days by playing some D3 LAN games; yes D3, they can't live without an afterburner... Anyway, we mostly play Hoard in Stad...

What I really wish had worked in that mission is the "Find Stormtrooper" command; it would've made things a lot easier. Actually, that was done on purpose, wasn't it? So as to make this objective a little more challenging, which it re...

@Kevin! As you possibly know I've been working together with Jason Charles Feyers of Outrage to update the text version of the D3 FAQ to be included in the 1.5 patch in 2002. I'd have to replace some URLs on the links page, other than that the FAQ is ready to be included. Please mail me so I can sen...
