Each game handles widescreen differently. I know there was a huge row about BioShock recently when people installed it and found out that it simply blew up the standard 4:3 picture and cropped the top and bottom. It really depends on what you do. The 16:10 ratio on my Mac is absolutely wonderful for...

One of those kids is coming here as a 21-year-old sophomore. Now, I've been mildly interested in this case since it broke, but this kid Collin Finnerty has a real rap sheet (assault). I think the old Active Directory wouldn't let you see non-M$ computers. Is that right? That's not entirely true, though in practice it sort of is. MS's LDAP implementation (Active Directory) doesn't conform to standards for POSIX account info, so it takes a lot of atribute remapping to get other LD...

Is there some reason to think the only way that it can be done to building code is if an electrician does it? In New York City, for one example, if anyone other than a licensed electrician messes with the power, it violates the code. Too much risk of an electrical fire. Then again, it's also illega...

Yes that is a red flag, but lets put blame where its due, and thats not the fault of ooxml, its the fault of over 15 years of MS Office. The point is that the whole point of an interchange standard is that you cannot limit the domain of the standard. Isn't the standard a domain limited to office products? Compare reading data from an XLSX file and XLS file. It's many times easier to generate your own graphs and tables based on the spreadsheet data now. XML is easy to read and documented. I'm sorry, I can't address all of your points. Understandable. I can give you this though: backwards compatibility is a huge feature. So why can't you just do two measurements? Because a measurement can only be done via an interaction with the particle (e.g. hitting an atom with light/photons), so the interaction from the first measurement would actually change the particle's speed and/or position. It's important to remember that...

Another thing too is that, to the best of my knowledge, you can buy the Intel version of OSX through retail channels just yet. What's being sold is the PowerPC version. The only way you can get the Intel version legally is to buy an Intel Mac. Leopard will change this but that's not due out until O...

Total cost: $140. The problem is you can't get the regulator off without raising the window all the way...

If you replace it with another regulator, it will go bad as well. And you will be back in small claims court again. I guarantee it because it will have the same defect that broke the last one. Taking GM to small claims court?
There's a recurrent problem with GM window regulators that's now affected my 2001 LeSabre Custom for the second time. At over $500 to replace the regulator, and knowing that this problem affects models up to and including the 2007 model year, I'm quite miffed that there is no recall. The last time t...

Re: Building a mac one'sself
Assuming you have all genuine Apple parts it shouldn't be a problem to put them in a tower. But that means you need everything. Generic mobo won't work. If you get PowerPC parts there's pretty much no doubt they'll be genuine Apple, but you can't just go out and buy Intel parts that match the specs ...
