I don't even have a credit card. I pay for everything with my Visa debit, and it works great. I've never been in debt and tend to make big purchases only after plenty of deliberation.

I got Orange Box for my 360 a few weeks ago and beat Portal yesterday. I found it much more enjoyable than I expected. Any game that makes you feel affection towards an inanimate cube is a winner in my book. And the credits were just awesome. Can't wait for more.

I thoroughly enjoyed the finale, along with the entire series. What I loved most about the show was the spiritual element it brought to science fiction. Usually we're given a shiny, perfect secular society with highly-evolved people (Star Trek, anyone?) who behave unrealistically. But Battlestar has...

Nothing about Darwin's theories disproves God; it's mere an explanation biological life that says nothing about God at all. Which Joystick?

I'm hoping to start playing some Descent again soon, but I have a problem - I need a new joystick! I have a Precision Pro 2, but it seems to be broken. What's a good recommendation for a new stick? Sure the 3DPro is ideal, but since I'm using my Apple iBook, it has to be USB. I haven't been keeping ...

Unfortunately, YEC seems to have done far more damage to the Christian cause than the whole slew of new atheists and their mouth-foaming internet followers. I must be a total weirdo for preferring to learn words from lists - it's too hard to actually remember what a flurry of new words means without being exposed over and over again for a long-term period. Of course, this can work quite well if you're immersed in the language/culture. Since I'm learning...

Jeff, you raise a very interesting point. Any hand you're dealt is extremely improbable - but if you get a royal flush for three hands (sorry, I'm not very good at card terminology!) in a row, than although it's just as improbable as any other card combination, it's far more *remarkable* - anyone wo...
