Oh yeah, I can see it now. "Someone hacked the system and turned off the power for Joe Nobody on Lost Drive." Oh yeah, lots to gain from that. There is the concern of whole grids getting shutdown, but when you get down to it they should be rather simple to bring back up. If a hacking shutd...

"Linux Mint 11 is the greatest operating system ever made." Well... It is pretty good, and is getting better. I've installed it to totally replace my Ubuntu rather than 'upgrade' to the new Ubuntu that I didn't want. So far, I've been impressed. Now if only I could get around the occasion...

Too bad history has shown us over and over again that while protesting can help bring about change, it mostly accomplishes very, very little. Actual action, as in working to help others and working/aiding the making of the needed changes is where applied effort can be effective. Most protests (inclu...

Re: Triple Monitor Support..

They didn't disable triple monitor support in XP, they just didn't have much (if any) support for that in XP. When XP came out it was actually rare for computers to have more than one monitor. Having three was nearly unheard of. Therefore you typically neede a third party solution in order to do it....

Won't hurt to change the battery for sure.
The battery supports the clock only when the power is off. While power is running, the battery is not needed.

It's the elements and the javascript - chrome has a very superior rendering engine. Plus, every computer I've been on, firefox takes 3x times to start then chrome does. I'm going to disagree with the javascript being better in Chome. That's because I've gotten too many times when javascript driven ...

That is correct, and it isn't like Ibuprofen doesn't have it's own risks (gastro-intestinal, ulcers, etc.). Again, the risk is always much higher when the medication is not used according to instructions.

It's true that it's an interesting idea, but (IMO) it has a couple obstacles it would have to overcome before it could be practical with computers. 1. Gravity. It can only work well if the object to cool is under it horizontally (not vertical, not upside down, not on an angle). 2. Requires space. No...

You know, there is a certain amount of silliness to it. Last for 10 years? Yeah, that could be done, however in 6 years they may not want to use it anymore (performance would be far too slow by then, comparatively speaking).

Are both of the Outlook installations the Outlook 2003 version?

I assume you've been in the iTunes settings (on both systems) for the sync options with your iPad?

Are both systems running the same version of Windows? It shouldn't make a big difference, but you know, we're talking Windows here.

In Windows, you just maximize Firefox and Firefox puts the tabs on the title bar. When Firefox isn't maximized, the title bar is separate from the tabs. I'd expect the same behavior in the Linux version though I haven't tried it on Linux yet.
