ServU FTP is an excellent choice. It has many options, but is easy enough to set up a very simple and effective FTP site for yourself. We use it professionally on all of our servers here at work.

Create a new directory and install DXX into that directory. Then copy over the appropriate files from your D2 Vertigo directory over to the new directory. Read the readme that came with DXX it tells you how to do it.

I am so sorry guys. It is within my control, normally, but not for the past week - I am on vacation and do not have access to the server. I made preparations so that the server wouldn't go down, but I think there was some storms, and the server is off. It will resume this Sunday (3-25)

UPDATE:

Registered users to can now jump right to the edit mission screen from the home page by simply clicking on a mission that's theirs. Also added the option to enter notes for the mission when adding a mission.

Level notes are available, but were difficult to find. If they could somehow be added when the level is uploaded it would be preferable. How so? Thats only an issue for those using internet explorer trying to view a png with transparency . If you're worried about people being able to utilize the PNG format, thats not an issue either. Even MS Paint can save to PNG. Its basically JPEG without the ugliness. btw Diedel, recheck the site...

I have decreased color depth to 256 bit colors, i.e. 8 bits/pixel. Going deeper will make them look awful. Some images still have slightly over 120 KB, some even 140 KB. You're not doing it right then. Send me the image and I'll do it for you. Btw, your site didn't say the images have to be 640x480...

I used Vista last year when it was available to those who have MSDN accounts. It worked OK except for a few Web development issues (IIS etc). I'm going to wait several years (like any other Windows OS) for the dust to settle and then use vista. :)
