Re: XL - better, worse, or indifferent?

Yes, there is a wireframe map option in XL. And last I checked, Diedel made it a lot simpler to install the whole thing without having to place objects in specific directories. It just 'unzipped that way.' and all you had to do now was just click the exe file and away you went.

For the D1 version anyway, I made sure there were 0 bugs in the DLE-XP level checking thingy before calling a level finished.

Re: Sirius help! - Apocalyptic Factor level 14

Honestly, it'd be a simple, yet tedious, matter of opening up DMB2, booting up all the AF levels, removing all the robots (or just the badly placed ones), removing their 'robot spawn on death' attributes of those that have it, change up the matcen robot spawns and change the existing line-out to a m...

Interesting. Can anyone else confirm this and can either Darkhorse or Sirius see something in the level I cannot in terms of what could be causing the crash? I think it might be the music chosen actually rather than anything to do with the level itself. So honestly, look into the hog file and remove...

Re: Stable version of D2X please?

Also, how to make the Descent 1 executable see custom missions? I can't seem to get it to work for some reason. EDIT: Figured it out. Since there's no "Missions" folder, you just put the files into the game's folder. No biggie! Vignettes work fine with vanilla, indeed they do! That was th...

Re: Descent 1 1/2

Xfing, I'm looking at the two images you posted and that seems to be a very common cube layout as far as I'm concerned. It opens up from a 20x20x20 cube hallway into a big square room and then offshoot that back into normal cubes on all sides. Even Descent 1 does this a few times and now that I thin...

Re: Trying to work with Enemy Within + Weapons Mod + New Mus

Stretching? If putting the weapons mod in another SP mission is stretching XL, then I'd wager to say having the weapons mod in Lost Levels (with which is was prepackaged) is stretching it as well. Simply playing Lost Levels should have stretched the engine far sooner than what RCG is doing. The new ...

Shameless pimping of my levels here but here are the sets I made if interested: Bahagad Outbreak - 10 levels, 2 secret levels, one new boss, kruel-made final boss arena, and a few new robots strewn throughout the levels. Megaman: Revenge of the Fallen Release Thread

It have been 6 years in the making (since 2008!) but Jman and I (Yes, THAT Jman) have been working on and off together on a Megaman game. Granted, it doesn't have any new graphics (or very little) and no new music, but that's because at the early stage of production where we could have used spriters...

Theoretically you can, however after you are done editing and replacing robots in the Descent.pig file, you better make damn sure it is the exact same file size as the original pig. Why? There seems to be some sort of checksum that looks to the pig file being a certain file size and if it deviates e...
