Creating See Through Textures

Post by jakee308 »

being new to most d2 editing, i have a lot of questions that have probably been addressed. I have not been able to find them by searching.

am looking for hints on how to create see through textures for d2. whatever i do the color used in the see thru area doesn't disappear. is it a file type problem. i saved the palette and used the see throught color but that didn't work either. no tutorial necessary, a pointer to what to look for or where the info exists will be sufficient. ty

Hmm, I think you meant to post this in the Descent Development forum.

Jakee,
If its hi-res textures....You should ask Diedel. I'm sure he has made some before. :)

If your importing a 256 color bitmap, you have to have the file named "empty.bmp" or it will change your transparent white into a opaque shade of light-gray. The transparent color isn't exactly white, either: HSL 254,254,254
