I've never played the levels from Destination Saturn. Is there anyway I can try them out with Rebirth?
You can't possibly be serious. Destination Saturn is an awful afterthought that has nothing in common with the other mines that precede it. The only energy power-ups available to you are from extra weapons found lying around and a couple others scattered around the mine, and the spare weapons are only of value if you weren't naked before hand. Which, if you're playing the mission from the LOTW pack, you won't.Lothar wrote:There is actually one extra level in Destination Saturn (level 15, which has the level 7 boss). It's one of my favorite levels.
And speaking of the lack of energy power-ups, the only energy center in the entire mine is hidden behind the red door in a chamber already filled with missile platforms and a super hulk and red hulks shoving seeking weapons down your throat.

Think it as difficulty factor, it's the last level after all.
It's just a game. Face it.
If I recall correctly, in level 7, they remove the boss and place a reactor somewhere in one of the tunnels in that central column of the otherwise boss room.
Eeeyup. Basically the anarchy-mode handling. I would probably have at least replaced the boss room with something different to account for it...
I played the level like two days ago... the layout itself is not that bad, but the item placement is horrendous. Lazy level design shines through, they didn't even make an entry door like in all mines.
