Heavy Driller 2?

In descent2.com, in the D2 robot models, I discovered this:

Where is it in the game? On a secret level?

I don't think he was ever used in game. He was nasty -- had something like plasma and homers, I think.

That is a Vertigo Series robot, and it fired dual homing missiles. This is an upgraded model from its predecessor from Descent 1.

The original was brown and appeared in level 10 in D1. He shot a load plasma... very fast plasma.

So he is in the datafiles, but never used in the game (like the Evil Twin). Right?

I know the Heavy Driller from D1. It's one of my favourite robots. His taunt is sounds like my old cell phone when I throw it into the water.

The guy's called a Defense Bot. He carries Homing Flash Missiles just like the Limefrost Spiral Boss. To make matters even worse, he's even got the Plasma Defense System that shoots out homing plasma bursts at you every time you shoot him with energetic weaponry. Not to mention, it makes all destructible panels and lighting go \"kaplooyey.\" Take him out with only your Vulcan and Gauss Cannons... and TAKE HIM OUT FAST!!
