No seriously, I don't know what it is. Is it similar to the guide bot? Are you talking about mercenary levels? Because I have never completed mercenery so I may not have come accross this "guidepod".

The other lenses are spares. Youy might need them as you complete the level. Turn off the power and align the lenses, turn the power back on, go down flip the lower swtich (bigass clock lookin thing) then come back up hit the wall switch and then flip the 4 switches on the panel in a \"Z\" pattern.

(I think that's the process. It might be a bit off, but that's the jist. read the journals you picked up using shift-f8)

It's not a difficult level. When I first played D3, I completed this level without any help.
