 Post subject: Player Megas from robots don't do enough damage on Trainee

I have set for the last two bosses to have Player Megas as their weaponry, as opposed to Robot Megas. However, on Trainee the Megas do like 47 points of shield damage, even though the HAM file clearly states that they should do 199 damage on all difficulties. I compared this to Robot Megas on Trainee and those do around 15 points of damage, so I'm positive it's Player Megas we're talking about.

Is this some hard-coded thing, that Trainee in D2 reduces the damage values by a large percentage?

Actually, I'm pretty sure there is... one of the programmers I'm in touch with looked at this once and found that Trainee mode has multiple hard-coded hacks to make things ludicrously easy. Apparently just tweaking the HAM wasn't good enough... even though in this case it achieves precisely the same effect.

Funny thing. Fusion seems to do full damage, though :lol:

Is it worth worrying about?
I doubt anybody is going to play D1&1/2 on Trainee.
