I need help! Whenever I try to run a game straight from d3.descent.cx, descent3 runs. After the part where I choose my pilot, a message appears saying it is connecting. After a few seconds, it goes to the main menu. What do I do from there?
Note: If it helps, I have descent3 v1.0 because my patch isn't working

Without the 1.4 you have no chance...

He might have the ause version of D3. 1.4 patch for that can be found here:

If he has the duel juel then I think only planetdescent has those, and PD is still down.

None of the 3 patches are working. I think I have the Europe patch. You can get all patches on www.descent3.com and my auto-update doesn't appear to be working either!

Hang on! I hear that there is a patch on my cd! (Sold-Out Software.) I'll try that one but it may take a while because my cd-drive barely works!

Hang on... When I run the patch it comes up with a menu of programs, a menu where I'm supposed do open something. WHAT DO I DO THEN!!!!!

Open your D3 directory and let it do its work.

Aussie patch should work. At first the US patch worked but later the Aussie patch was the only one that would work.

See if that does any better.

No. I've got a European version.

Well, I'm not familar with the European version. Have you installed Merc?

I TOLD YOU THAT THE PATCH CAME ON THE CD!!!!!
And I don't have the Mercenary pack.
And I have the 3 normal pacthes.
AND my auto-update isn't working either.

the auto-update isn't working for anyone. the autoupdate-server is down since a long time...

I don't know if you really want to do this but is a reinstall within question?

I don't think my CD reader is capable of installing withouth crashing.
