It seems like it would be an easy level to port. Is there a D1 version?

If I'm not mistaken Karash made it for D2, here's a link to it if you can use it.

Yeah, the D2 version is what I remember. Unfortunately, I don't have D2 running, only D1x.

I made a port of SRP to D3, with Karash's blessing no less. 8)

It's in "The Classics" mission, along with Laserdeath and Dark Hall.

Nobody around these days knows this? Where's Bama hiding?

Get D2X. It's got some bugs, but it does work.

Hello? ::Taps microphone:: Is this thing even on? :o

Karash authorized one port of his level. It's done, it's out there, and it's available. He consulted with me on the design and playtested it, approved it.

Where's KoolBear? Is he on hiatus? If he can drag his roaring self away from his cubs and his real life for a few hours, I'll even arrange to play some D3 Speed Racer with him once my cable is hooked up.

 oops I was in the bathroom, sorry Master Sirian

Really Sirian do you have a link to it! I would even get internet back in my hpuse if I could find that level!

And yes my site is lacking in a few things, when I found my site CD's all I had was a copy of it from '00 except a copy I made just before I went away in '02 but that is on a jazz disk and my jazz drive can't be found!

Anyway man it's good to see ol'Sirian still around!

My D3 files were hosted at Zappafan's. However, I also used to send them around. I had four or five hosts. Heiko's site in Europe was one. PD may be another.

classics.zip

You don't have internet at home?!? How can that be?

You may be a tad disappointed with the conversion. I did it 100% true to spec, but there's no D3 equivalent of the fake lava, and the D3 popgun plasma doesn't have quite the same effect! Still, if it's the layout you want, you'll be in Kool Heaven. I did a 2:3 scale as I did with all my ports from D1/D2 to recreate the old timing, instead of cramped sardine can feeling like Burning Indika and other 1:1 ports. 8)

Sirian, it is available at PD, under the name 3bclassics.zip. I've seen a few servers hosting that set recently.

Thanks!

Yeah, 3bclassics.zip -- See? Been so long, I mixed up the filename!

By the way, those levels are compatible with CTF and Guardian, Horse and Team Horde.

Hey, maybe you could make a standalone version w/ the D2 plasma mod build-in ? 8)

Nice texturing Sirian. Reminds me of the old D1 "Hunting Halls". Kinda dark and sinistar. Maybe a bit like Unreal.

Oh, about the Lava. there is a way of doing it but i think its scripted. You have to make it texture you can fly thru and assign damage to it. it's been way too long since I've dinked around with this so I can't really tell you more than that. There is a spot somewhere in the D3 missions that you fly thru some lava. Just can't remember where. Seems it was moving too.

Lava in D3 that you can pass though and it burns you still? I belive you would want a custom texture of the same lava as ingame, only in the .gam specify fly though. Then, in D3edit, set a trigger on the custom-flythough-lava face and script it to fly though, and to where it burns you on contact for x number of seconds, causing x number of damage per second. Easy :D

not that pretty enough, was wondering if you'd do a general overhaul of the entire structure but still keep the same design intact. That'd be the more professional thing to do.
