hi there. sorry for bad english, its not my native lang.

when i downloaded d2xxl 1.9.262 from descent2.de and d2 demo files,
it crashes every time when i select a player profile, so i go next by own :]

i taked a game-pack based on d2xxl 1.6.118 (descent-ultimate
~42megs from demonoid.com torrent, found via isohunt.com).
tried to use a tracker -> \"your version of descent2 does not match
the ver in use for that game (expected 4, got 0)\"

wht to do? copy all files in d2x-xl-w32-1.9.262 over previously installed
descent-ultimate (to use its data files) -it seems to work! but not with
tracker -\"expected 4,got 2\".

how to solve it?

Try using a legitimate copy of Descent 2 next time.

Apart from some language problems.

Pirating games = no help + locked thread.

Try buying D2 on eBay. You can get it next to nothing there and you'll get all the help you need here.

BTW, Best advice is right ^^^^ there too.

What the other guys said. You can get D2 for a few dollars. Spend the money, and save the effort.
