Descent 2 online - How to?

Can anyone help me or point me to a guide explaining how to play Descent 2 online? Some of my buddies and I would like to play and relive the old days
I checked Gamespy but it only supports D3.

Patch and then grab either the DXX Rebirth project:

Or D2X-XL:
http://www.descent2.de
Both should support multiplayer over TCP/IP, although I've only ever done it over Rebirth.

Your best bet is paying the subscription once a lifetime fee for kali, then ask one of those guys to send you d1 or d2

Check the forums of either of the sites Krom linked - you should be able to find out a way to meet up with other people that play the game there. Kali is still a major one, but it's not the only one any more (might not even be the biggest, I'm not sure).
