Anyone know how to read .POF files?

In these files robot behavior in Descent 1 is coded. I need to find a way to understand the stats of some robots to create a .HXM file fixing the behavior of D1 boss robots in D2. Anyone ever done something like this before?

I'm not exactly sure where the robot behaviour was stored in D1 but I doubt it was in the POF file - that's the polymodel data. It's possible they stored them together and only split them in D2 I guess.

I read that before .HAM files were introduced in Descent 2, D1 stored the robot data in .HOGs up till version 1.4, and in .PIGs from 1.4 to 1.5. I'll see if I have a Descent version 1.0 (I probably do), and will take a look in the .HOG. Hopefully I find the robot properties and will be able to create another robot for Descent 2 that copies these properties (this would mean the Level 7 boss will not be nerfed anymore ;)
