2 Machines Out of Service ...

Post by Iceman » Wed Sep 22, 2004 2:34 pm

I have no clue why this is happening but the 2 PC's that slave off of the internet connection on this PC (internet connection sharing) can no longer see the internet. Evidently all 4 of the NICs involved are operating fine because I can still use file and printer sharing.

End Result => 2 Less PCs folding

Thread is in Tech forum ... phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=3792

Xciter, can u give a little more details about the sneakerneting thingy?
I could get maybe 10 more 2.8's to folding this way, but your instructions above got me a little confused....
I can use the intranet to transfer data between them, so i wont need a USB device or floppies, but the part about downloading WU's and caching them is a little unclear.
Any help would be appreciated.

Yes they do, well...they have internet access as well, but limited only to http and then only on specific domains through a proxy. (no socks). Running an http tunnel wont be feasible either.
The part about getting a client to just download and cache the WUs and also the 'timeless' WUs are the points i need explanations about.
